What's New in DAP Desktop 11.7.25 NEW FEATURE: Print Artwork

Print Artwork — New option to print or save a visual copy of the current pattern as an image. Supports both Plot and Layout views, direct printing, and Save as PNG export. Useful for reference sheets, quotes, or sharing pattern previews without needing the full application.

Design Tools

  • Coverage Labels — New font size setting added to User Customization under "Labels." Choose from 7 presets (XXS through XXL) to control how large coverage ID labels appear on the drawing. 

  • Ungroup — Further improved: ungrouping no longer interferes with your current selection state. 

  • Edit Mode — Fixed an issue where green guide outlines would duplicate each time you entered edit mode. Guides are now detected reliably and only created when needed. 

  • Vertex Deletion — Empty shapes are now properly cleaned up from inside groups after deleting vertices. Previously, invisible remnants could remain. 

  • Selection — Fixed incorrect selection bounding boxes that could appear oversized when the selection included degenerate items.

Display & Customization

  • Plot Control Dialog — Reduced height by ~19% so it fits better on laptops and smaller screens. 

  • Path Merge Dialog — Now scales and positions correctly on displays with different DPI and resolution settings. 

  • Thick Lines — Fixed a crash that occurred when zooming out very far on patterns with thick line widths. Lines now render at their true thickness at all zoom levels without the previous artificial cap.

Plotting

  • Material Categories — Added Window Protection and Color PPF as new material categories in Advanced Plotter Settings.

Pattern Loading

  • Error Display — When a pattern fails to load (network issue, timeout, etc.), the error is now shown as a banner inside the tab instead of a blocking popup dialog. Includes a loading spinner while patterns are being prepared. 

  • Reliability — Upgraded network retry and error recovery for more robust pattern downloads.

Regional & Language

  • Translations — Continued improvements across all 11 supported languages. 

Stability

  • Crash Fixes — Resolved crashes related to entering edit mode with no drawing loaded, form initialization timing, and thick Bezier rendering at extreme zoom levels.
